Australia’s most exciting annual street art event, Wall to Wall Festival once again took place in the even more colourful town of Benalla, in the north-east of Victoria. Now in its fourth year, the festival brought together a dynamic combination of local, national and international artists that created new murals across four lively days over the 2018 Labour day long weekend.
This year the festival showcased over 20 artists, including names such as Georgia Hill, Lolo, Dvate, Claire Foxton, Anthony Lister and Elle. This also brought a refreshing change as many of the headlining artists were women, helping highlight the importance of women within the arts.
The event not only boasted an impressive artistic lineup but also prides itself on inclusiveness, hosting a variety of hands-on and educational events throughout the festival weekend, having allowed patrons to partake in a completely unique and interactive experience. The exciting program featured various workshops, guided street art tours, a cinema, after-dark projections.
Wall to Wall has become one of the most significant celebrations of street art in the country, bringing a breath of fresh air and a new coat of new paint to the already colourful town. See you in Benalla!
